J-TEC is excited to offer an opportunity for a full-time Test Technician to join our dedicated team!
In this role, you’ll perform essential testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and failure analysis while ensuring precise documentation in line with established procedures.
This position is scheduled between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Our ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and enthusiastic, with strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform required tests on electronic equipment per established production test requirements
- Read test schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to ascertain testing requirements
- Setup and operate precision test equipment as required
- Prepare and maintain documentation as required by the specified test procedure
- Troubleshoot and prepare failure analysis on corresponding electronic equipment
- Evaluate returned products; provide an estimate of time and material for repair and follow up on test and calibration of returned products
- Maintain and update production equipment as required for engineering design changes and new product introductions
- Perform maintenance on test equipment
What we’re looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and a two-year college degree, or the equivalent combination of education and job experience in electronic repair, design, and/or research
- Requires specific visual abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
- In-depth knowledge of digital and solid-state electronic devices
